Pine Ridge reservation is in crisis.

On the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, an overwhelming period of snow and flooding has set of a humanitarian disaster that seems unlikely to end soon (NYT).

More than half of the 20,000 residents have been without water or food for three weeks, and many families are still inundated or marooned.
